Curriculum design

As an experienced middle leader and classroom teacher, I have extensive insight into what makes an excellent curriculum. I have designed bespoke long-term plans and schemes of work for key stages 3, 4, and 5 across multiple schools. My support is tailored to the needs of the school/ organisation, and can include:

• reviewing existing schemes of learning to ensure they are appropriately challenging and engaging.

• designing whole curricula by year group or exam specification.

• creating new schemes of learning with accompanying resources.

Subject specialism support

Perhaps your school or centre is currently without an English lead/Head of Department, or you are simply looking for some collaboration? I can provide support and advice on English specialist matters, including subject-specific pedagogy, marking and moderation, and approaches to key texts.

Marking services

As a GCSE examiner for two of the most popular exam boards, I have an abundance of experience and insight, making me an accurate and consistent marker. After a round of assessments or mocks, I can mark your responses and provide a report for the cohort, detailing areas of strength, common misconceptions, and recommendations on what feedback to give students.
